After playing with Mistura for a few days now, I’ve mastered the look and love the results. One-step easy application in 20 seconds or less and skin looks healthy and alive.
How it works:
Mistura’s formula is like the Miss Cleo of makeup (minus the faux accent). Mistura is heat-activated to match every skin tone and is good for every skin type. Mistura uses light refraction to diminish the appearance of blemishes, fine lines and wrinkles. Mistura mutes rosacea and evens out skin tones.
To use Mistura
Take your favorite brush (or use the one included in the kit) and dip ever so lightly into the powder. If you apply too much, you’ll look a little on year orange side, so just a dab will do ya! Brush upwards and blend well. Wait a minute or two for Mistura to match your skin tone and then apply the rest of your makeup as desired. If you’re used to a more full-coverage look, you can still wear your tinted moisturizer, mascara, eye liner, colored eye shadows, and even your favorite lip gloss if you want to.

The idea of a makeup accentuating the tones in my skin with some magical technology has me intrigued. I’m thrilled with the prospect of finally having the perfect eye shade or lipcolor derived from my own skincolor…I know what I am buying myself for my birthday!
It’s ok. I saw the ad for Mistura in the SkyMall catalog. I wanted something simple to use on rushed mornings after I work out and need to get to work. The claim is that you only need Mistura, not eyeshadow, blush, foundation or lipstick. It is true if you already have good skin. I have dark undereye circles. This product is not concealer. I used Mistura with my tinted moisturizer with SPF. It is a pretty coppery pink color that probably works for almost everyone and is in a blush-type compact. It is pretty as an eyeshadow, blush or lipstick. And it brightens my face. I still felt the need for some eyeliner and mascara, but would be pleased without. The brushes that come with the Mistura are not great. The bristles shed as you use them, and the lipstick brush has a wierd fan-like shape that make it useless. The eye-shadow applicators are obviously cheaply made. I’ve never seen such fragile looking applicators. The product is nice and does what it claims. I would buy again if not for the ridiculous price.
