Need a refresher on who our glam-loving good samaritans are and what they do? Here you go:
Kent: has been bringing food to the homeless for the past 4 years in Ann Arbor, Michigan. AND, he raises money for orphans with HIV/AIDS in Tanzania, Africa. He gives up 3 weeks of his vacation time to spend in Tanzania helping with painting, carpentry, and acts of kindness.

Katherine: is in AmeriCorps VISTA (the domestic Peace Corps) and moved to Alaska to work at a homeless shelter for teens. AND she goes out to help at the food bank and other homeless shelters.

Mary: executive director of N Street Village, which provides a “village of services” for homeless women in Washington, DC. Mary reaches out to companies for donations of goods, money, and services (dental care, massage, lunch, low-income housing, shelter, clothes, etc) so that the women can readily get what they need.

Jared: worked with GLSEN to start the first gay-straight alliance in the Cleveland Public school system. Jared is currently the president of PRIDE in college and in his spare time, he sits on the board of TPAN (test positive awareness network), the largest AIDS activist organization in Chicago. In 2007 he was honorable mention for Chicago’s Windy City Times “30 under 30″ award. He also received the Student Activist of the Year Award from the Human Rights Campaign. He’ll be graduating from college in May and will be going to work in New Orleans for Teach for America.

Ashley: who is currently a student at Northwestern medical School and works with victims of rape and sexual assault in Chicago. She has been involved in Rape Crisis/Anti-Violence on campus and worked as an educator at the campus support center. Ashley is also a medical advocate and helps survivors navigate through medical options, and provides non-judgmental support to survivors.
