Hello, my beauty-loving brood. I have some exciting news about our latest spa launch! But before I get into all that, I’d like to say that I’m sorry for being blasé about blogging, yet again. (For some reason, I’m hearing that “Too Late To Apologize” song playing over and over in my head.) I appreciate those of you who check the blog regularly, and I’m going to do my best to update more often. (Not that anyone wants excuses, but I actually took a little vacay, and—horror of horrors—got caught without my sunscreen and ended up a bit red. I’ve been hiding out in shame ever since, to avoid being scolded by everyone at HQ.)

Anyway… on to the big news: This Wednesday, July 8th, marks the official opening (or as we like to call it, ‘skin’-auguration) of our newest spa, Bliss Washington D.C.! Now our nation’s Capital can balance complexions as well as the budget, talk about waxes as much as taxes, and achieve true bi-‘pore’-tisanship. The space—just a stone’s throw from the Obamas’ pad—features our usual top-notch tension-fighting facilities and trademark Bliss touches, and will be the perfect spot for D.C. dwellers to exercise their First ‘Aah’-mendment right: the freedom of ‘spa’. Booking lines are now open, so snag your appointment and prepare for the most heated debate in town: Ginger Rub or Super Blissage?

While we’re on the topic of America’s Capital, I’d like to wish you all a Happy 4th of July weekend. Enjoy all those BBQs (just be sure to have a jar of Fatgirlslim on standby for that extra hot dog or two…)
