hey, atlanta and dallas: honk if you like spa freebies!

Last month, I told you about the drive-thru spa promotion at our Scottsdale location. Well, I’ve got some news I think you’re going to be pretty ‘revved up’ about: it was such a hit that we’re doing it at our Atlanta and Dallas spas too!

Here’s the deal: every day this week (through Friday, 8/28), you can drive up to the spas, lightly honk the horn, and our spa squad will run out to your car with a bag of Bliss to go. Your swag will include bottled water, the same brownies served in-spa, free product samples and treatment offers. How ‘beeping’ fantastic is that? (And you don’t even have to leave the air-conditioned confines of your car—sweet!)

A couple of days ago, we introduced you to our new soapy suds—and now, it’s time for the next big ‘splash’. Listen up, fabulous foaming face wash fans: your ‘washes’ have come true with fabulous foaming body wash, a new ‘just for body’ version of your favorite cleanser!BLISS-329

In case you’re not already a ‘dew’-votee of our famous fabulous foaming face wash, let me give you a refresher: it’s a 2-in-1 cleansing and exfoliating face wash for all skin types that forms a fresh, fruity foam. It’s got quite a fervent following, especially since it’s one of the Bliss sinkside amenities offered to lucky w hotel guests.

Given its popularity, it was only natural that its fans would start begging us to come out with a body wash version. And because our customers are so fabulous themselves, we listened—and we’re proud to introduce new fabulous foaming body wash!

This ‘below-the-neck’ formula lets you cleanse and exfoliate in one step, just like the face wash. It’s paraben free, and it’s got a fresh, clean, unisex scent (ladies, expect your man to mooch some).

One more note: although it may look, feel and smell just like the face wash, it’s been specifically formulated for the area from shoulder to shin. So don’t think you can cheat and just start slathering the face formula all over your elbows (although we don’t doubt it’s been attempted at some point).

We’ve really gone bananas with all these new body washes, haven’t we? In fact, we bet your shower hasn’t seen this much excitement since… well, I’ll leave that for you to figure out.

new shower gels: what are you most ‘pumped’ about?

Tell me: who doesn’t appreciate the simple, sudsy pleasure of a good body wash? It makes showering so much less mundane—who cares that it ends up going down the drain?

If you’re a body wash buff, we’ve got some news that’ll work you up into a ‘lather’: we’re launching three all new shower gels: lemon+sage, vanilla+bergamot and blood orange+white pepper soapy suds.

“But…but…don’t you already have shower gels in those scents?” you may ask. And you’d be right (we’re so glad you’re paying attention). But we couldn’t leave ‘gel’ enough alone, so we did some serious ‘foam’ renovations to our existing formulas, and are now re-launching them as our all-new soapy suds.

So what have we done to your beloved bubbles? First, we made them almost twice the size—they’ve gone from 8.5 oz to a whopping 16 oz each. Next, we slashed the price from $24 to $18. You’re probably thinking: “WHA? A bigger bottle for less money? Does not compute.” Well, we decided to break the rules, just because we love you.

And we’ve topped it all off with two other improvements: a pump dispenser to replace the cap top (goodbye squeezing, hello squirting), and a new, paraben-free formula.

why my mom loves the youth as we know it

One of the perks I get from working in this industry is free beauty loot. Naturally, I can only slather so many serums onto my skin before I don’t even know which one is doing what. So where does my stash of surplus stuff usually go? That’s right: my mom. Of course she loves being a guinea pig in the name of glam—it’s like Christmas every time I show up with a bag of the latest cleansers and creams. (Does that make me Santa? I’ll take it, sans the red suit and milk-and-cookies belly.)

My favorite part about giving her products is hearing her reviews. Working with this stuff all the time can leave you a bit jaded, and hearing a real person rave about a product really reminds you of why you do this in the first place. My favorite things to ‘test’ on her are anti-aging items. After all, she’s a better judge of their efficacy than I am being that she’s a few years older than me. (Just a few, mom.) BLISS-260

When I first gave her a jar of the youth as we know it moisture cream—our August product of the month—she was skeptical. Let’s be honest: not every formula I’ve foisted upon her has been a winner. But once I explained the idea behind it—that it’s a one-stop shop for everything you’d ever want in an anti-aging moisturizer—she was sold. Like most people, she gets confused by all the different moisturizer options: this one firms, this one lessens lines, this one brightens, this one does your laundry… you get the idea. So she loved the fact that she could have it all in a single jar.

After using it, she called me up raving. She said she could actually feel it working when she massaged it on, and she loved the way it made her skin look. (I can verify—she looks a lot younger than her years.) She was even crazy about its texture and fragrance. And the true test of her devotion? She’s tried some other moisturizers since she started using the youth, and she always, always goes back to it. It’s her ‘desert island dew’, if you will.

Let me just tell you: my mom knows what she’s talking about, and she keeps it real. It’s kind of what’s she’s known for. When she tells you to try a beauty product, you listen. So take her advice and try the youth as we know it. If you’re anything like me, you’ll find yourself saying, “How is she always right about everything?”
